About Parker
My name is Parker Ritchie and I am a 2022 graduate of Indiana University-East. I pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics with a minor in psychology. Throughout my first couple years of college, I was a math tutor and a supplemental instructor for math courses including business math, nursing math, and calculus. Currently, I work in accounts receivable and enjoy crunching numbers at work. Despite my career path venturing from my degree, I very much enjoy mathematics. I hope to work with students and help them excel in their math courses.

I look at mathematics by going through each of the steps and understanding what is going on with each step. I also look at the bigger picture of what is going on.
My lesson plan would consist of me showing how to execute a problem and pointing out a couple of the key points. Then, we would work on a different problem together. Lastly, you would demonstrate your understanding by doing your own problem. From there, I see what areas we need to look at more.
I love math and working with students; I enjoy helping students arrive at that "aha" moment. I also worked hard as a student to understand the concepts I learned, so I will focus on ways to remember and understand the problems in each of the lessons.
These lessons would be for high school students and early college-level students who are taking a mathematics course involving algebra.
