About Blake
Hi I'm Blake!
As an American expat living and working here in London since graduating from LAMDA in 2023, I know what it's like to start something new or scary or maybe even comfy!
As an actor, I have toured Shakespeare around the UK and the USA as well as causing a ruckus (a good one) within the fringe world with my critically acclaimed writing.
As a teacher, I aim to infuse a sense of 'play' in every aspect: from working a Shakespeare speech from Romeo and Juliet to the most clinical aspect of voice work. A play is called a 'play' for a reason!
So much of performance is utilising your 'toolbox' of skills and knowledge to draw on.
My aim as your teacher is to add a few more tools with research-based, clinically informed, and experience-led techniques I've obtained over my own career, rather than prescribing a one-size-fits-all method.

As a LAMDA graduate, professional actor, and critically acclaimed writer, my teaching methodology utilises techniques developed through the notorious theatre company 'The Factory' and years of teaching experience.
Using games and physicality work to explore verse and text, the aim of my teaching is to present a free, natural expression of text with authenticity as if the text came from you rather than words on a page.
As a voice tutor and certified Vocal Health First Aider (CDP certification), my aim in every session is for you to obtain your most free, healthy, easy voice.
Sessions could explore everyday voice work, vocal extremes, character voice, or traditional verse speaking.
