About Olaf
I'm a Software Engineering graduate, currently a mobile/web development contractor. I have experience in cross-platform mobile development, web and API development. I've worked on projects around admin management, crypto, environmental and social concerns. I provide my students the tools they need to begin or accelerate their learning around software development. This can be quite intimidating, my job is to show you that it isn't that bad :)

Teaching is designed to go at your own pace, you'll be given some background information to help you get started and then given small practicals that you can do in your own time. Practicals will focus on a single core concept and will increase in difficulty as you go. The goal with each student is to create independent learners that can continue their journey by themselves. Using this methodology, you spend less time in calls and more time practising programming with my guidance when it is needed. The course assumes you have some basic knowledge of how to get around your computer - does not require prior programming knowledge. Please contact me if you are a student, looking to learn programming for the first time or are just interested in knowing more about software development. All classes are online, please ensure you have a microphone, webcam and a stable internet connection before enquiring. Classes will take place on Discord/Meets at flexible times that work around your schedule.

Details
The first session (free 45mins) will be used to get to know each other, understand your goals and help us both decide what course content is best for you. This course is optimised to be a remote, hands-off approach. You will be expected to do short, but regular check-ins on progress. You will be given offline work that is free-of-charge and expected to be completed between sessions. Whenever you hit a bump in the road, I'll be here to help.
