About Celeste
Hi there! I’m an experienced mathematics tutor with a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. I started my journey as a Junior College (JC) teacher, where I spent 7 years teaching H2 Mathematics and guiding students through some of the most challenging parts of their educational journey. Now, I’m an International Baccalaureate (IB) teacher in an MOE school, where I teach both Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (MAA).
My motivation to teach comes from a deep belief that every student has the potential to excel in math. I’ve seen firsthand how understanding math can open doors, not only academically but also in terms of confidence and problem-solving skills. My goal is to make math accessible, engaging, and tailored to each student’s strengths and needs.
With my background in both the JC and IB systems, I bring a comprehensive understanding of these curricula and the best strategies for success in each. My students have described me as patient and thorough, and I make it a priority to break down complex ideas into manageable steps. Whether it’s using interactive tools like Desmos for visual learning or providing custom materials for extra practice, I’m here to ensure you’re fully prepared and supported.
