I am a recent college graduate from Oregon State University with a degree in Biological Engineering. I currently work as a research assistant with Legacy Hospital in Alzheimer's research and have several pending publications. I have experience with several types of professional industries both in the science and blue-collar work force.

I prefer to find what tutoring method works best for each student rather than have a set plan for my sessions. In my previous tutoring position, this consisted of verbal, written, and drawn instruction with some instances requiring all three. I believe that everyone learns differently and this approach allows me to keep students from getting easily frustrated and allows them to understand the material more quickly. My lessons are mainly geared towards helping middle and high school students, but I am also qualified to help early college students.
I believe that my dedication to understanding and patience are what set me apart as a tutor. I strive to provide a variety of lesson styles and plans so that each problem can be tackled in a way that fits with the student's level of comprehension.
