About Alex
I have a passion for music and am approachable, enthusiastic, motivated, creative, friendly, patient, reliable, personable, dedicated, punctual, have excellent communication skills, and show professionalism and structure in lesson planning while still being flexible of the students’ goals. I offer lessons in a caring, nurturing environment. I am a natural communicator and can give clear explanations and instructions; I am also a good problem solver, and I work well both independently and in teams.

I show professionalism and structure in lesson planning while still being flexible of the students’ goals. I am approachable and provide tuition in a nurturing environment where all students are comfortable asking questions or raising concerns. I provide unique lesson plans for each student tailored to their needs and have the ability to keep students motivated. Lessons are usually half an hour for beginners to third grade, and one hour for fourth grade onwards, however I am flexible according to the student's needs. I have a Bachelor of Music Studies from the Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney), and the Associate in Music, Australia (AmusA) in Piano Performance. I have well over 20 years’ experience in piano. I have nearly ten years of experience teaching up to 50 students per week. I have enjoyed teaching students of varying ages, abilities, and personality types, and have taught for leisure as well as prepared students for AMEB examinations, concerts, eisteddfods, and HSC examinations. Through my teaching experience I have gained the ability to relate well to young and adult students, parents, and other staff members.
