About Billy

Hello!

My name is Billy, and I’m currently doing my second year of master's in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Melbourne. Throughout my years of study, I have garnered 4+ years of experience tutoring in both Adelaide and Melbourne, and nothing makes me happier than seeing my students thrive with a little bit of help!

I have always been a passionate language lover and have learned both French and Italian over the course of my educational life. I grew up in an Italian community in Adelaide and got full marks in my Italian exams in year 12. I then completed a minor in French when I studied at the University of Adelaide. I have also had the privilege of traveling to both Italy and France and gaining cultural knowledge/language skills in these countries, which had further deepened my love for both languages! I have experience tutoring both languages, especially for those in high school/hoping to improve their ATARs.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and writing novels, going for jogs and playing the piano. To relax, I will always pop on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy which I am currently addicted to.

About the lesson

Learning Italian is all about immersing yourself in the culture, people, media and music of the language, not just grammar and vocabulary! Although I will surely help you with grammar, I also give advice on language immersion through media, which is ultimately how I became fluent in Italian.

Lessons can go for 1-1.5 hours. As a tutor who has worked at A Team Tuition Australia for 4+ years, I have lots of experience and have learned how to cater my tutoring to different ages, levels and learning styles. I have tutored Italian in the past and would love to tutor it even more!

My lessons are for any age and level, whether K-12 or someone who is simply curious about the language. My experience is strongest in working with year 11-12 students who are aiming to improve their ATARs.
