About Sophie
I am a recent History graduate (from London) and I am currently living in Sydney, Australia. I am always curious about the world around me and enjoy keeping myself actively learning alongside my students. I have a passion for English modern literature as well as the global history that provides the backdrop for many of these novels. I love incorporating as many different types of primary sources to suite each student, for example movies, artworks, fashion, music etc. I believe that is the fun of learning history, a primary source can be many different things. The great thing about personal tutoring is that we can explore all of these areas that school can tend to brush over, and together we can work out what really interests am individual and where it can inspire them to move forward intellectually.

I enjoy mixing up different learning tools and never sticking to the same lesson type for too long. I love asking students to do some of their own research and give me something to learn too! Homework should be enticing and moulded to excite and improve an individual’s learning expectations and interests, rather than always being methodical.
