About KRISHANI

Hello! I’m a passionate and dedicated Math tutor with a strong academic background and real-world industry experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and experienced Software Engineer. Teaching has always been close to my heart. During my university years, I worked as a part-time tutor, helping students strengthen their understanding of Mathematics. That experience showed me the joy of making complex topics clear and watching students grow in confidence and ability. My goal is not just to teach formulas but to help you understand the why behind them. I aim to create a friendly, supportive learning environment where questions are encouraged, mistakes are welcomed as part of learning, and progress is always celebrated. I look forward to helping you succeed in your mathematical journey!

About the lesson

I believe every learner is unique, so I customise my teaching methods to match each student’s learning style and pace. I use real-world examples, visual aids, and step-by-step breakdowns to simplify complex mathematical concepts, ensuring a strong foundational understanding.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, which allows enough time for explanation, guided practice, and addressing any questions or doubts. I also assign optional exercises and provide feedback to help reinforce learning between sessions.
My strong academic background and industrial knowledge enable me to relate mathematical theories to real-world applications, making lessons more engaging and relevant. In addition I worked as a part-time tutor during my university studies, helping students improve their performance in Mathematics. This hands-on tutoring experience gave me a deep understanding of how to connect with students and make math engaging and accessible.
My lessons are ideal for students from Grades 6 to 12, whether they need help with schoolwork, exam preparation, or simply want to build confidence in subjects like Statistics, Algebra, Arithmetic, and Trigonometry. I offer online classes individually or in small groups, with a flexible and personalised teaching approach.
