About Joseph
My name is Joseph Scates and I am a recent graduate at the University of Southampton, where I received a 1st Class master's degree in Aerospace engineering.
One of my favourite things about my degree, is telling people about my degree. The maths and physics involved in making an A380 leave the ground is something I never grow tired of talking about.
Helping others understand a difficult concept and seeing a light bulb moment happen in real time is one of the most rewarding parts of my academic journey. Understanding can lead to inspiration and it is my goal to inspire future students to achieve the very best they can, so they too, can go on a similar journey to mine.

I will always start with the basics to build a strong foundation, from which my students can gradually build strong and deep understandings of a particular topic.
Once the topic is understood, I suggest questions to test their knowledge and challenge their understanding.
