About Marisol
Growing up, I became inspired by educators who demonstrated genuine care and commitment towards their students’ education, and this is the approach I bring to tutoring. I strongly believe that, as a tutor, patience, adaptability, communication, and understanding are the key to the success of the students. My ultimate goal is not only to help students succeed in the classroom, but also to develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that foster a curiosity for learning.

Beyond simply teaching, I build meaningful connections with students to understand their learning styles and areas of growth. I tailor lessons to the students’ needs while fostering a supportive environment that encourages them to ask questions and strive for academic growth. Having 6 years of experience working with elementary and middle school students, I create personalized lesson plans that introduce topics through relevant examples, followed by guided practice then individual application. I am a strong believer that learning is mastered through practice, so concepts are practiced and reviewed until students can confidently teach the lesson back to me. This ensures thorough understanding of the material and offers further practice. While I specialize in mathematics, I am available to support students in all core subjects, including Spanish, as I hold a California State Seal of Biliteracy.
