About Jasmine

I am a 28 year old female who currently works for a biotech company as a Data Analyst. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, which led me to become proficient in areas including Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics (lab and lecture for all). I also became proficient in Calculus and Anatomy and Physiology during my time in undergrad. I finished with a 3.5 gpa (cum laude). I began tutoring my little sister in high school not to long ago and realized it is something I am good at. Therefore, I decided to take tutoring one step further.

About the lesson

I am able to give a thorough explanation to questions by breaking the problem down from beginning to end. All science (bio, Chem, physics, Ochem) is about working the problem out from beginning to end. So understanding that each step matters can help students understand the language of science. I am able to help by working with students on homework or preparing for exams. Subjects that I am proficient in include, chemistry, biology, organic chemistry, physics and calculus. I enjoy teaching these subjects, as I had a strong love for learning about how these subjects all intertwine with each other. I try and make learning a fun experience and I accommodate different learners, such as visual learners. I also observe the areas that students need help in and then repeatedly help them in these areas until they feel satisfied by the results. It’s a good feeling for students to see that they can understand these subjects, as admittedly they are difficult. I enjoy tutoring because it’s a good feeling to see students grow to become competent in areas they need be.
