About Taryn
My name is Taryn, and I’m 24 years old. I started my teaching journey in 2020, when I completed a year of the course: Bachelor of Early Years (education). I then transferred to a Bachelor of Primary Education where I knew my passion lay. I started my teaching career in a classroom in 2023 teaching a range of students and job sharing on a Year 1 class, and this year I had my own Stage 2 class (Year 3 and 4). I recently made the move to Orange, where I now work at an OSHC (Outside of School Hour Care) centre. My love for teaching stems from the idea of being able to connect with students outside the boundaries of learning, however being able to teach and watch students grow is something I have always been passionate about.

To make my private tutoring lessons great for students, I focus on creating a supportive, engaging, and personalised learning environment. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs, strengths, and goals. I’ll do this by ensuring my communication is clear and effective, that all lessons will be engaging and interactive, as well as build on their confidence through critical and encouraging feedback/reflection. My main goal is to ensure my teaching is effective, but also rewarding for the student.
