About Nadia

- What kind of experience do you have?

Over the past ten years I have tutored 60+ clients, ranging from ages 5 to 45, on a regular basis. I have gained extensive and successful experience tutoring at GCSE and A-level. I have also taught French to beginners seeking to learn the language out of pleasure and/or to optimize their career opportunities. Back when I was studying in Zurich, I also taught French and English to adults at various companies.

- Tell me about some of your current students.

I've been working with a student for the past two years who has just received the highest grade possible at her GSCE French exam. I will be continuing work with her this year to prepare her for her French A levels.

I recently worked with a student preparing for her French A-levels. She got full marks in her speaking exam, did very well in her writing exam too and exceeded her offer to university. I am now tutoring her younger brother.

About the lesson

I am a committed and personable French and German tutor. I have 4 years experience tutoring a wide range of students, from as young as 5 years old to adult age. I am a native French speaker and have a Masters in English and French Literature from Zurich University.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

French (up to Pre-U) and German (up to GCSE)

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I have a MA in English, French and Comparative Literature from the University of Zurich, from which I graduated with Honours and obtained a prize for outstanding achievement. I also have a MA in Acting from the Drama Centre London, which is part of the University of the Arts London. I am currently completing a MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths.

I am also a filmmaker and playwright.

- How much do you charge?

I charge £48 per hour.

- Where do you teach?

I teach at home, at the student's place and on Skype.

- When are you available?

I am flexible and happy to teach any day of the week, according to my availability.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

Although I have experience teaching all ages, my preference is to tutor students preparing for GCSE and A level exams.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

French GCSE and A level (all boards)
German GCSE
DELF (French Language Exam)

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.

I have extensive experience tutoring via Skype, which I do very effectively.

- Do you have a personal message for students?

I am very personable and patient. I have a thorough understanding of grammar and can explain rules in detail with the help of examples and exercises. As both a writer director and an actor, I place a lot of emphasis on fluency and style in both written and oral expression and I always strive to communicate my love of language. I give equal importance to all features of language – grammar, syntax, punctuation, pronunciation and vocabulary. I often find that a number are neglected in the classroom, evidently because of lack of time, which is why and where I come in!

Perfect! I would highly recommend Nadia.
