About Varun
I want to teach as I feel I was able to grow a lot over my last few years at school, and want to provide other students with the same capabilities. Going into my A levels, I was unsure of what I wanted to do, and picked maths, further maths, economics and Spanish just to keep options open. This is a position I am sure many of you are also in, and this may come with a lack of particular interest in the chosen subjects. However I aim to provide students with all the tools necessary to understand the course content, and even challenge themselves beyond the basics, in order to help clarify their interests for the future, alongside securing top grades.

My lessons aim to help students not just answer past paper questions, but further explore and understand concepts to a deeper level, applicable to exam scenarios and beyond. I find in my experience maths especially can be a struggle when a student is unable to grasp key underlying concepts, and I aim to go beyond just the syllabus where appropriate to help students better engage with topics, so that they may not only improve grades but enjoyment. My typical lessons last around 1 hour, however I would be happy to extend this nearing exam time, or where necessary, and I can teach online or at home. They are for current GCSE and A level students at any starting level.
