I am a firm believer in hands on and pictorial learning before applying algorithms to mathematics learning. A student needs to have a concrete understanding of what they are learning and should be able to put it in context before they start applying standard algorithms (set of steps).
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am experienced teacher of 19 years and10 of them have been strictly as an elementary math teacher. I am familiar with Common Core Curriculum and can help students achieve their goals through individualized plans.
