About Kate
I hold a First Class Honors degree in Irish and achieved a H1 in Higher Level Irish in the Leaving Certificate. Irish has always been a huge part of my life — I completed all of my schooling through Irish and would consider myself a native speaker with a deep understanding of the language both academically and naturally in everyday speech.
I have over four years of experience teaching in Gaeltacht summer camps, working with students of all ages in immersive and engaging Irish-speaking environments. This experience has helped me develop a teaching style that is encouraging, practical, and focused on building confidence and fluency naturally.
I currently work in the Pleanáil Teanga sector in Kildare, where I help promote and develop the Irish language across different communities and sectors. Through this work, I am deeply involved in supporting the growth and everyday use of Irish in modern life.
