About Agustin

I've always been "good" at maths. However, truly, it was at university where I started loving them. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's that, in maths, everything comes from first principles (from the axioms) and therefore can be reasoned through. Or maybe it's that maths is the language of the universe and it helps you understand and analyze the world.

I applied to Computing at Imperial College. However, on the first day I transferred to Mathematics and Computer Science. It was the best decision I have ever made. For the last two years I've enjoyed all my maths and computing modules. As of today, I'm interested in Algebra, Topology and Logic . I have received First-class honours in my first, second, third and fourth years. I have been working as a software developer for a year.

About the lesson

I have over four years of experience tutoring online. I'm very passionate about teaching and learning maths, and would like to pass on that passion. I believe that both maths are about intuition and not about memorization. Every single mathematics concept can be understood and reasoned through completely, and therefore my approach is to build that intuition and reasoning. I also help solving exercises, again, using reasoning instead of just applying formulas.

During classes I write on the screen using a graphic tablet. This way the student can see and understand my reasoning. I will also share all my notes written during the lesson.
