A teaching technique I commonly use is modelling, it allows students to see what is expected of them and also allows them to see how an answer is formulated.
Another teaching methodology I use is the variation theory, this allows learners to explore mathematics in the different ways, an example would be relating it back to prior knowledge but going more into depth. It is necessary for students to experience certain patterns of variation in order to distinguish critical features of the purpose of learning mathematics.
