About Jelani
My name is Jelani Dula, and I possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Computer Science minor from Morgan State University. When I was in college, I tutored college-level mathematics for two summers for a pre-accelerated curriculum in engineering, and I currently serve as a middle school math teacher in which I also tutor 8th-grade level math after school. I took Calculus 1, 2, and 3 in college, alongside Differential Equations.

My teaching methods are an interactive approach, requiring participation of the student to ensure their receptiveness of the concepts. A typical lesson plans starts with a definition of all related terminology, a thorough, step-by-step explanation of the particular concept, then real life application(s) of the problems. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I adaptably pay close attention intentionally to the knowledge gaps of the student and take the time to build any necessary foundational knowledge they may need to be able to understand the concept they are learning.
