About Bailey
I am from Owensboro Kentucky. I am from a big city but live in a small town in Indiana now. I have taught third grade, 5th grade, and will be teaching 6th grade this coming school year. I graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor in Elementary Education and a Masters of Teacher Leadership. I am enrolled in a rank 1 degree to learn how to study curriculum. I am a learner and school nerd, and I love any opportunity to keep learning and to grow as an educator.

I grew up as a hands on learner and so my lessons are also hands on a lot of the time. I grew up with a love for math. My favorite part of math is that there are so many different strategies to teach each content topic and standard. I have tutored students as young as first grade and as old as 8th grade and would love to reach students in older grades. I look for ways to dig back into the curriculum and to challenge my abilities. A typical lesson starts always with a short video to introduce the topic or lesson of the day. We then go into teaching the strategy to use in order to solve problems at hand. Then it goes into independent and support time from me as the tutor.
