About Flora
Hey! My name is Flora and I am a graduate of Oxford University (French and Spanish). I am now starting my Master's at Sciences Po Paris and am passionate about teaching.
I know that learning languages can be intimidating and difficult. For this reason, I aim to bring you fun and exciting lessons which are tailored to your unique interests. With a year of tutoring experience under my belt, I have found that the best approach combines exam board resources with broader language skills training and a study of the country's culture.
For example, a lesson might include conversation practice, a grammar sheet, and a language game to bring some fun to the class. I make classes tailored precisely to the student's interests, such as grammar games through the song lyrics of a student's favourite French musician.
I have also worked as a language teaching assistant at a leading international school in 2021 which helped me understand the best pedagogical approaches.
I offer teaching to GCSE and A-Level students in French, Spanish and English as a Foreign Language. I also offer training for the Oxbridge admission process (MLAT exams, applications, interviews). Hope to see you soon!

I believe that the best learning is achieved when a student finds the classes enjoyable and inspiring. I am also aware of the importance of building self-confidence in the subject in order to understand the content.
My tutoring methodology combines exam board resources with my own homemade worksheets which ensure that the student not only is prepared for the exam but also feels inspired by the topic. We will work through key language skills (grammar, listening, reading, writing) through activities related to the country's contemporary culture.
I recommend a class duration of one hour in order to get through the content. I have a year's worth of tutoring experience and I worked as a language teaching assistant at a leading international school in 2021.
