About Abigail
I am passionate about tutoring Physical Education because I truly believe in the power of sport to build confidence, resilience, and lifelong healthy habits. Throughout my studies and now during my PGCE and QTS training, I’ve seen how students benefit from personalised support—especially in PE theory, where a little guidance can make a huge difference to their understanding and results. My goal is to help students feel capable, motivated, and confident in the academic side of PE, no matter their starting point.
A Little Bit About Me
Sport has always been a major part of my life. I’ve played a wide range of sports from a young age and was fortunate enough to earn a football scholarship, which strengthened my love for physical activity and teamwork. Alongside my studies, I work as a swimming teacher, helping children and young people develop vital skills in the water. My background in both competitive sport and teaching has shaped the way I support students—encouraging, patient, and focused on helping them achieve their best.

My lessons focus entirely on Physical Education theory and are designed to help students gain confidence and understanding in the academic side of PE. Each session is tailored to the learner’s needs, whether they’re preparing for exams, revising key topics, or looking to strengthen their overall knowledge. I break down complex ideas into simple, engaging explanations and use practice questions, examples, and structured guidance to support progress. Topics include anatomy and physiology, training principles, components of fitness, skill acquisition, sports psychology and socio-cultural influences. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can improve their theory skills and achieve strong results.
