Hi! I’m a passionate and experienced tutor with a background in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia. In high school I founded a coding club that teaches the younger generation and was president of National Honor Society. I specialize in helping students understand complex topics in math, science, and programming by breaking them down into simple, engaging lessons. My approach is clear, exciting, and adaptable. I believe every student learns differently, and I tailor each session to fit their individual needs. I take a personalized, student-centered approach focused on building confidence and understanding. I use clear explanations, visuals, and real-world examples to make complex topics feel approachable. I also love being engaging.
My teaching style involves step by step breakdowns as well as hands on problem solving as experience is the best teacher. The lesson plan will consist of a warm up to gauge the student and then go into depth on the warm up to explain the key concepts followed by guided practice.
What sets me apart is my background in biomedical engineering and computer science as I connect interdisciplinary topics with clear communication. I prioritize making students feel motivated and empowered. I live for the 'aha' moment.
I teach middle and high school as well as college students in STEM, especially those studying math, computer science, engineering, or biology.
