About Jay-Keane
Passionate musician and educator with a strong background in jazz and contemporary music. I've been playing the guitar for 11 years, and the piano for 12 years. I graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in 2025, and am currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Jazz and Improvisation) at the University of Melbourne. Aside from guitar, I also hold AMEB Grade 8 piano. I enjoy helping students develop confidence, build strong musical foundations, and discover their own creativity through music, regardless of age or experience level.

My approach is centered around creating personalized, engaging lessons suiting each student's goals, skill level and musical interests. Drawing from my experience performing a wide range of genres such as jazz, blues, rock and funk, I aim to make learning both enjoyable and inspiring. Lessons can be 30 minutes or 1 hour, depending on the student's needs.
I have 2 available studios. One is the Luxana Academy of Music in Mount Waverley, and the other is my home studio in Blackburn. I can teach at your home if you're within 10km radius from my Blackburn studio.
My guitar lessons are suitable for students of all ages and skill levels.
My piano lessons are suitable for beginner to intermediate students.
