About Poppy
I have a First Class Honours degree in Civil Engineering and an A in A-level Maths. I am friendly, patient, and passionate about teaching, with a genuine enjoyment for helping students build confidence and improve their skills.
I focus on creating a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenging topics. My aim is to make maths clear, accessible, and less intimidating, while helping each student reach their full potential.

I take a structured approach to GCSE Maths tutoring, focusing on building understanding and confidence one topic at a time.
Lessons are typically 45–50 minutes long, and each lesson is split into a simple routine: 20 minutes of teaching a single topic, 20 minutes of guided practice together, and 5–10 minutes of feedback to reinforce understanding and tackle any gaps.
I teach GCSE Maths students across the UK (ages 14–16), supporting all levels from foundation to higher tier, whether the goal is passing confidently or pushing for top grades.
