I am a Behaviourist Psychologist in a school and spend many hours teaching the children. Furthermore, I have tutored maths for years.
Lessons ranging between 1-2 hours. Finding weaknesses within the syllabus and focusing on it, working on it together until my student feels confident and is able to complete questions independently.
