I believe the most effective teaching methods are ones where the learner is challenged beyond his/her thinking, where he/she is actively engaged rather than me 'transmitting' information.I value short but intense lessons to keep the student interested at around 45 - 60 minutes (extended if necessary). I have worked with students of all ages from year 7 to 13.
