-Techniques and Teaching Methodology
My teaching style is student-centered and focuses on scaffolding. This means I meet you where you are, breaking down complex concepts into manageable "building blocks."
Active Recall: I don't just lecture; I ask targeted questions to help you arrive at the answer yourself, which strengthens long-term memory.
The "Why" Before the "How": I believe understanding the logic behind a concept is more important than just memorizing a formula.
Customized Resources: Every student gets a personalized learning plan, often including visual aids, practice problems, and real-world examples.
-Typical Lesson Length
I generally recommend 60-minute sessions.
First 5–10 mins: Review of previous concepts or homework hurdles.
40 mins: Deep dive into new material or intensive practice.
Final 10 mins: Summary, "exit ticket" check for understanding, and setting goals for the next meeting.
(Note: I am also open to 45 or 90-minute sessions depending on your time requirements and the subject's complexity.)
-Qualifications and Experience
I bring two years of experience in Subject e.g., science and mathematics.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. I have successfully helped over 450 students improve their grades by at least one letter grade or pass standardized exams.
My lessons are specifically designed for:
Beginner to Intermediate; Ages 12 through adult learners.
Goal: Whether you are struggling to keep up with classwork, preparing for a major exam, or looking to get ahead of the curriculum, I tailor my pace to suit your needs.
