About Alex

Life after Harvard has been… interesting. It's not quite the preordained path of success and fulfillment that some might imagine. Yes, graduating with honors in Applied Mathematics at 22 felt like a monumental achievement. The world felt full of possibilities. I landed a lucrative consulting gig in New York, and for a while, I thrived in that high-pressure, fast-paced environment. The intellectual stimulation was addictive, the salary impressive. I bought a sleek apartment overlooking the East River, traveled extensively, and enjoyed the trappings of success. But after a few years, a nagging sense of emptiness crept in. The work, while intellectually demanding, felt increasingly meaningless. I was optimizing algorithms for maximizing profits, but to what end? I craved something more impactful, more personally fulfilling. So, at 27, I made a drastic change. I left the consulting world and enrolled in a PhD program in Bioengineering at MIT. It was a humbling experience, going from being a top performer in my field to feeling like a novice again. The long hours in the lab, the constant setbacks, the intellectual rigor – it was all a far cry from the polished boardrooms of Manhattan. But it was also invigorating. I was working on developing innovative medical technologies with the potential to improve millions of lives. I found a sense of purpose I hadn't realized I was missing. I'm 30 now, still working on my PhD, living a much simpler life in Cambridge. My apartment is smaller, my social life less glamorous, but I'm genuinely happy. The high IQ? It's a tool, nothing more. It helps me process information quickly and grasp complex concepts, but it doesn't guarantee happiness or fulfillment. Harvard provided me with an exceptional education and opened doors, but it didn't give me all the answers. I'm still figuring things out, still learning, still growing. And that, I've come to realize, is the real adventure.

We’ll work through practical examples and interactive exercises. Think of it like having a personalized academic coach in your corner. Someone who can explain things in a different way, offer extra practice, and help you build the confidence you need to ace those exams and really grasp the concepts. Plus, I’m flexible with scheduling and happy to work around your other commitments. I’m not just about grades, though. I want to help you develop a genuine understanding and appreciation for the subject.
