About Laksh
Hi, I’m Laksh — a recent graduate from Melbourne High School, one of Victoria’s four selective-entry schools, and a tutor specializing in Math, Chemistry, and Physics. Having been a student not long ago myself, I know exactly what it feels like to be overwhelmed by certain topics, confused by unclear explanations, or stressed about upcoming assessments. That experience shapes the way I teach. I’m passionate about helping students understand concepts in a way that finally makes sense. My goal is to take the frustration out of learning and replace it with clarity, confidence, and genuine improvement. Outside of tutoring, my hobbies involve cricket, running and camping.

As someone who graduated recently from Melbourne High School, I understand exactly what it feels like to struggle through content and try to make sense of explanations that don’t quite “click.” As a result, my teaching style is practical and built around what actually works—not outdated methods or rote memorization. How I teach: I prioritize 'Concept-first' explanations that make difficult ideas feel simple and logical, not overwhelming. I value personalized support and organized lesson plans based on my own experiences, but also the strengths & weaknesses of my students. What really sets me apart is my 'Exam-focused breakdowns', including how to recognize patterns, avoid common traps, and write answers the way assessors expect. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, with a 90-minute option for students who want deeper exam preparation, multi-subject help, or more intensive revision. My lessons are suitable for: - Years 7–12 students, from those struggling with the basics to high achievers aiming for extension - VCE students preparing for SACs or exams - Students wanting to build confidence, fix gaps in understanding, or get ahead
