Hello, bonjour, nǐ hǎo, and however else you say "hi" around this crazy globe! I'm the sort of person who's been everywhere from the hallowed halls of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University to the skyscraping offices of Foundation Global Education in Hong Kong—and I've got the passport stamps and teaching anecdotes to prove it!

Picture me as your go-to Interview Coach, part Oprah, part Tony Robbins, with a dash of late-night comedian. My goal? To pump you up for interviews so well that you'll make an entrance as unforgettable as a Broadway opening number. Tailored one-on-one sessions? Check. Group therapy—I mean, group coaching? You betcha!

Ever dreamt of giving your personal statement the flair of an Oscar acceptance speech? Look no further. I guide my clients in creating statements as captivating as a season finale cliffhanger, all while staying true to themselves (no plot holes or red herrings, promise).

Now, let's time-travel back a bit, when I was teaching ESL at Zhejiang Sci-Tech. Picture this: Imagine if Captain Jack Sparrow taught English. Swashbuckling through syntax and gallivanting around grammar—that was me. But sorry, no pirate hats, just constructive feedback that turned my students into English aficionados.

️ Ah, but before that, there was Rabboni Debate Academy. No, it's not Hogwarts for debaters, although that's a business idea worth considering! As the Founder and President, I moonlighted as an academic Dumbledore, organizing everything from Debate Sessions to Socrates Roundtables (where toga-wearing was optional but philosophical pondering was mandatory). My magical team? A crew of international student volunteers more dedicated than house elves!

Summer of '22 was TOEFL time in Nanjing. Hot weather, hot lectures! I was like the Gordon Ramsay of TOEFL, mincing words, and dicing sentences to make sure my students served up A+ answers. "That speaking segment was RAWWW!" Get it? You had to be there.

Way back in the mists of time—okay, it was just 2021—I was also teaching AP Economics in Nanjing. Imagine if "Wolf of Wall Street" met "Dead Poets Society," only with fewer standing-on-desk moments and more supply-and-demand graphs. My students went from "What's microeconomics?" to "Let's discuss the implications of monopolistic competition" faster than you can say, "invisible hand."

So there you have it, a whirlwind tour of my eclectic, globe-trotting, and oh-so-enlightening journey through the world of education. And just like any gripping Netflix series, the best is yet to come. Stay tuned, world. Stay tuned.

About the lesson

When I first started working in Nanjing, my pay is 350 CNY per 45 mins, which is equivalent to 75.77 AUD or 48.74 USD per 45 mins (=101.02 AUD per hour/ 65.05 USD per hour).
The other full-time jobs are similar in hourly payment. I'd say it's quite a bargain if I only charge $80 AUD per hour. Work should be lovable, and so should learning.
A piece of advice? Always choose a well-paid teacher who genuinely loves his or her work and care about those who he or she will be in contact with, rather than someone who feels being ripped off by their clients, company, or even students.
