About Nora

I was born in the north of Spain, where I graduated as a teacher. 7 years ago I moved to Scotland where I have been working as a teacher in Primary Schools and Special Schools. I have always been fascinated by culture and language, loving to learn new languages and more about other cultures myself. I decided to start teaching my language online, to help other people of all ages get to know more about it. I am also an art and nature lover. When I am not teaching, I would probably be travelling or hiking!

About the lesson

I like using a wide range of resources for my lessons, from songs, movies, poems to art. As I know what learning a second language is, I know that learning it the closest to the real world is the most important thing, and especially, it has to be FUN. I can teach Spanish to any age, the younger, the more playful the sessions will be... but who says adults can't play too? I like my lessons to be engaging and fun, and I will always adapt them to the learner's level, interests and time. I graduated as a teacher in Spain, and have been working as it in Scotland for almost 5 years, where I am based. My travels and my time living abroad have made me fall in love with my own language and I want to transmit it to others!

She is enthusiastic, encouraging, relaxed, VERY patient, and really tailored my lessons to what I wanted to achieve on my Spanish language journey - which was to improve my very basic Spanish to a level where I could consider a move to South America. Her classes were fun and packed with variety, but she also introduced me to a vast array of resources which broadened my knowledge of the diverse culture in Spanish speaking countries. She used IT to give me immediate written feedback and to share the information we were working on, and this made learning so much easier (even for non-IT literate people like me!) She went the extra mile to make sure I got the most out of each lesson and I would not hesitate to recommend her.
