About Emmanuel

To my future students,

Greetings! my name is Emmanuel, and I am here to guide you through your journey towards mastering the beautiful French language.

For a little background on my own French learning journey, I started learning French at the age of 6. As a matter of fact, French was my first spoken language. I have seated and performed very well for several levels of the "Alliance Française" during my years of schooling, and most recently graduated twice in a row with the highest grade in French at the Cambridge Higher School Certificate, with French as a main level subject. I have studied not only the French language, but French literature as well, studying authors such as François Mauriac, André Gide, and Pierre-Augustin Caron, known as Beaumarchais.

For my teaching background, I have been exposed to teaching environments since a very young age, as my mother herself is a teacher. Through my years of schooling, I have been a tutor to many of my peers who had difficulties not only in the French subject, but also in Mathematics, Computer literacy, English, and more. Most recently, before my arrival in Australia, I was a private tutor for a small group of students with diverse levels of proficiency in French.

As your tutor, I shall commit myself to delivering personalized lessons aimed at strengthening your weak spots and making this learning journey fun and interactive. Hope to hear from you soon!

About the lesson

Having learned the French language from a very young age, I understand that it can be a very exciting and daunting journey. As such, my goal as a tutor is primarily to make this journey as enjoyable and effective as possible.

As your tutor, I will first assess your current level of French proficiency and work with you to set clear and achievable goals.

Immediately after, we jump into the lessons, which I will do my best to make as fun and interactive as possible by using a variety of resources such as interactive activities, and multimedia.

Lastly, we will keep close track of your progress so as to more easily identify areas where you are having difficulties, and aim our lessons to build your proficiency in those areas.

For a lesson to be fruitful, I would advise a minimum length of one hour. Lessons would typically be structured as such: a quick recap of the previous lesson, the introduction of a new topic, a conversation scenario to gradually get you comfortable with speaking, and to conclude, homework that will be personalized to target each student's areas of difficulties.

My lessons are for anybody at any age who has a basic knowledge of the French language or none at all, and who would like to embark on this beautiful language through "la langue de Molière".
