About Fariba

I am a qualified secondary school teacher with nearly 13 years of experience, having graduated from an overseas university in 2000. I am qualified to teach up to Year 12, with a focus on students from Grade 6 to Year 10.

My teaching aims to re-engage students who have disconnected from mathematics by helping them understand concepts, practice problem-solving strategies, and build real-world skills. I use visual aids to strengthen understanding and confidence, and I encourage meaningful homework with reflection to help students learn from their mistakes.

My goal is to help every student see themselves as capable learners who can grow, succeed, and enjoy mathematics.

About the lesson

Hands-on math practice is my main strategy to engage students who have become disconnected from the subject. I focus on building real-world skills through visual aids that strengthen understanding and confidence. I also encourage meaningful and enjoyable homework with reflection to help students review what worked and how they can improve.
