About Cameron

Hello, I am Cameron, and I am 24 years old. I graduated from the University of Dundee with an MSci (Integrated Masters degree - a combined BSc and Masters degree) in Biomedical Sciences.

Perhaps at first glance, it may seem that my field of interest is focused on biology, but I want to reassure you that I am fascinated by all works of science such as Chemistry and Physics. In my opinion, knowledge of these three broad branches of science is essential for acquiring a more complete understanding of reality.

I have also been tutored by great tutors in my past and so have a good understanding of what traits enable a tutor to best help students in their education goals.

About the lesson

I want to focus exactly on whatever concepts a student finds hard to understand/remember so that students can get the most from my sessions. I am an avid learner of the sciences and I hope I can use this to give students knowledge deeper than their curriculum to help them understand/remember concepts in their curriculum (called elaborative encoding) more effectively. Finally, I hope I can use the Socratic method that involves much questioning to reveal limits of a student's knowledge and develop the student's curiosity/inquisitiveness of the topic which will likely help them achieve success in their studying and success in all other aspects of life.

I can provide tutoring sessions that last one hour. My tutoring sessions would help those studying Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry or Physics at National 5, Higher or Advanced Higher Level.

I am new to tutoring but I hope I can offset this by providing tutoring sessions at a discounted price.
