About Melanie
I am a graduating senior at Emory University with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Physics. I work in a research lab, giving me lots of hands-on chemistry experience.
In high school, I was in the top 5% of graduating students in my class, passing both AP Chem and AP Physics with 5s. I used to tutor my underclassmen as well, helping them to better succeed.

I can help students on understanding the foundations of solving problems in physics and chemistry without relying heavily on memorization of equations. I believe that having good knowledge on the core mechanics of these subjects is the best way to ensure students can effectively solve any problem they are faced with, even if it differs slightly from what they’ve seen before. I believe in allowing students to arrive at conclusions on their own, offering guiding questions rather than just giving the answer so that the content more readily sticks in their mind.
I am willing to teach middle and high school students in chemistry and physics, including AP courses if applicable.
