I work as a freelance graphic and web designer and most of the time move between my home country Czechia and Holland and United Kingdom where most of my clients are. From this reason, I was looking for an online course teaching Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I was lucky to find certified Adobe teacher Radha Rapelli from Kolorz Design Studio in Mumbai, India, who offers extensive online courses on all these programs. Each lesson is a one-to-one online Skype session flexibly run at time convenient for both the student and the teacher.

When I started taking the Adobe Illustrator course with Radha Rapelli, my knowledge of Illustrator was very limited, almost none. In 18 online sessions (2 hours each), we covered all the tools and techniques that Illustrator offers, starting with the basic tools and continuing gradually to the more sophisticated techniques.

The great advantage of learning with Radha is that she is not only a professional designer who has used Illustrator on a daily bases but also a certified Adobe instructor with years of teaching experience. For each lesson, she has ready examples of the particular technique she is going to teach. First, she shows how to use the tools and how to achieve the required result and then the student is asked to create the task alone from the beginning. This practical part, which takes most of the lesson, I found very useful because only by practising the technique personally, I could learn it properly. If there was any problem or question, I could ask Radha immediately for advice.

The whole course is well structured and paced, and helped me to learn Illustrator properly. I am looking forward to learning the other programmes – Photoshop and InDesign - with Radha as well.
