About Dan
I am a graduate of NYU and Berklee College of Music. I have written score and also songs for film in the blues, rock, folk and jazz styles. I have played in rock bands and also performed as a singer-songwriter. I can help develop those skills as well.

I meet the student where they are with the instrument and knowledge of music. Depending on your level I will craft a lesson plan and arc that bring fast and grounded results you can build on.
Basic beginners - basic chords/shapes and easy to play songs in any genre the student chooses. As you progress we work with some scale and melodic patterns.
Intermediate - once your goals are articulated we chart a course forward to get you to the next level in the genre and style of your choice. Work with influences from your favorite players and get your playing along as you discover your own voice.
Advanced - depending on the genre and complexity of the music ie Jazz - we dive into the theory behind the great solos by the masters - analyze solo transcriptions and harmony.
if it is rock or blues - dive into the patterns, scales, feel, picking, bending, slide techniques utilized by the greats so you can advance and play along to your favorites.
Songwriting - we will break down your favorite songs, see what is happening with the harmony, melody, structure etc and work on discovering your approach to writing in your style so you develop your own unique sound
