About Stavroula

Last year I was studying at Newcastle University as a postgraduate student obtaining the MA degree in Classics and Ancient History tlast September. During my postgraduate studies I worked for Newcastle University translating the discourse platform from English to Greek by using an online translation platform called Transifex. It was extremely beneficial for me to work for this University and I gained a lot of experience and valuable knowledge. Moreover, I used to teach Greek to non-native speakers learning them the Greek grammar, vocabulary and how to speak Greek fast.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Greece obtaining a BA (Hons) in Greek Letters with specialisation in Classics (First Class) at University of Peloponnese. I used to work as a volunteer in the library of the University of Peloponnese. My responsibilities were to tidy and shelve the books which were returned, so as to be easily available for the other students. Moreover, I used to deal with enquiries and help the students if they were facing any difficulty in checking in or out the books. Another duty was to place the barcodes on the books and solve any problem with the existing barcodes.
Furthermore, during my undergraduate studies, I was working as a teacher offering private lessons to students. I was preparing the students for school by helping them with their homework and activities. I used to explain them whatever they have been taught at school and they found it difficult to understand. In addition, I have fulfilled my practical exercise in the 4th High School of Kalamata, where I was teaching Ancient - Modern Greek and Latin to students. Another responsibility was to help at the library with shelving the books and I had administration tasks as well.

In May 2017 I attained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) non-subject and non-age range specific, I met the requirements for employment in maintained schools and non-maintained special schools in England. In addition in September 2016 - September 2017 a scholarship was granted to me for postgraduate studies in Classics and Ancient History at Newcastle University by John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation. While from September 2011 - September 2012 a scholarship was granted to me for undergraduate studies in the Department of Philology at University of Peloponnese by National Scholarship Foundation (IKY).

About the lesson
