About Benjamin
I'm a 23-year-old trumpet player with a passion to help and inspire those who want to learn the language of music!
With a background in Classical and Brass-Band music and then studying Jazz at a tertiary level, my strengths lie in my ability to read music and improvise.
Some projects/bands I've played with include: BULLHORN, JUNO, Blake O'Connor, RUBY JO, SAIK, JP Collective, Queensland Youth Orchestra Big Band, Excelsior Brass, Con Artists Big Band and I also lead my own ensemble and gig frequently.
I believe musicians are underrated in today's society and are some of the most clever, kind, fun and compassionate people on this earth. I can't wait to get to know you and introduce some ways to make your life easier on the horn!

If you want to solo, learn to read music or just chat music, I'm here for you!
Typical length of lessons range from 30 minutes to an hour where we can work on a range of various trumpet techniques, musical theory, transcribing and pieces catered to your interests.
Whether you're a visual learner or auditory learner, I can work around your interests so that you'll keep wanting to learn the most used language in the world - music!
I have 4 years of teaching experience (mostly beginners) and encourage anyone to pick up the horn, whatever the age.
