About Meg

I am an engineering student who graduated from high school in 2016. In high school, I did Physics, Chemistry, Science, Mathematics Extension and Advanced Mathematics and Business Studies.
I was School Captain in High School and always kept an eye out for the younger years. I have been tutoring juniors (16 and under) since Year 10 on and off. My university asked me to become a tutor for other university students due to my grades throughout my degree. I am goal focused and love to see students succeed.

About the lesson

I find it best to teach the student WHY we are doing the processes we are. I like to show them the very foundations of solutions and formulas so they understand on their own how to solve problems. I take it back to basics and make sure they understand every individual step. This allows greater problem-solving in the future as they independently work towards a solution.
I like to make the student feel comfortable with me and also the tasks at hand, it doesn't feel like homework if you're having fun!
I would like to teach the students practical skills they can take to the classroom to make the most of their in class time. This includes effective methods for note taking, when and how to take notes, how to prepare for exams, methods to stay focused in class and how to work most effectively. This relates to the old phrase, work smarter not harder. I haven't stopped schooling since I started preschool! I went straight to university after High School and I have tried every method every cheat sheet and every little "secret" known to students. I feel I have knowledge of endless options for students to find methods that work for them. I would also love to help students with upcoming assignments and how to get maximum grades for their effort.
