About Troy

I’m a passionate and dedicated swimming coach who’s committed to helping every swimmer reach their full potential. My goal is to make learning both effective and enjoyable, building strong technique, confidence, and love for the sport. With years of coaching experience and a background as a Premier Water Polo player for Kristin School and North Harbour, I bring real competitive knowledge and practical skills to my lessons. I focus on guiding swimmers step-by-step, ensuring each child feels supported, confident, and motivated to improve. As the owner of Prestige Aquatics Swim Club, I’ve worked with swimmers of all abilities, from beginners to competitive athletes. My approach is professional, encouraging, and results-driven — I take pride in seeing real progress, whether it’s smoother strokes, faster times, or newfound confidence in the water. Parents and swimmers can feel assured that my lessons are structured, goal-focused, and taught with genuine care and attention to detail.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to help swimmers improve their technique, confidence, and overall performance in a fun but focused environment. I take a practical, step-by-step approach, breaking each and every stroke and skill down into clear, easy-to-follow movements. Every session includes targeted drills that build efficiency, endurance, and speed while keeping swimmers motivated and engaged. Each lesson runs for 1 hour, giving us plenty of time to refine technique, correct mistakes, and see real improvement. Furthermore, there will be a maximum of 5 kids per group allowing for better and more efficient coaching for each and every student. I’m an experienced swimming coach and water polo player, having represented both Kristin School’s Premier Water Polo Team and North Harbour Water Polo Club. As the owner of Prestige Aquatics Swim Club, I’ve coached swimmers of all levels and ages, helping many reach new milestones and develop a lasting love for the sport. These lessons are ideal for intermediate swimmers aged 8–13 who can already swim a few or a ton of lengths confidently and want to take their skills to the next level — whether that’s improving strokes, learning advanced techniques, or building competitive readiness.
