Guido - London - Music

As a mature returner to the piano (after a gap of more than twenty years), I was looking for an inspiring teacher who is also sensitive to my idiosyncrasies and bad habits acquired over time. I have to say that in Guido I have experienced an engaging, passionate and inspiring teacher. Not only is he an exceptional pianist, able to 'read' Chopin Etudes with artistry of the likes of some of the great Chopin interpreters, but also a teacher able to inspire through the use of imagery and description of how to shape a phrase or choreograph a hand movement to give the required effect. Further, as typically of a returning student of piano, I struggle with holding too much tension when playing. Guido is able to guide me through a process of altering my tone, relaxing my arms to play in such a way as to improve the sound I make. These subtleties were new to me and I am glad to find a teacher who inspires, expects great things and nurtures my playing while still able to motivate through discussing archetypes, energies and nuances.
Further, I have seen students before and after my lessons, from beginners to advanced sixth formers emerge from their lessons similarly enthused.

My son is nervous as he has lax ligaments and his hands don't always work the way he would like! Guido was patient, kind and very encouraging with my him, and although he didn't continue with piano as he favored the acoustic guitar, he enjoyed his lessons with Guido and I was very grateful to him for his time and patience. My son gained much needed confidence from Guido.

Guido is a great piano teacher. He has a lot of patience with children and adapts to the best learning approach depending on the child. An accomplished musician, he is also a great teacher for adults whatever their level."

We have known Guido for almost 2 years now. He is the tutor for my 9 year old son. Since Guido is himself a concert pianist he is able to take his students to a higher level of musicality and we believe we have seen the effect in our son. Our son performed a short piece in a concert. He is also patient, friendly and focused. My son passed his graded exam with distinction which we are very pleased and proud of."

I was looking for a new method to refine my approach to the piano and to compose.
His revolutionary method allowed me to create a piece, then successfully played during two concerts.
My satisfaction was great! His lessons opened a musical world that I ignored. Now I play regularly and have created about thirty pieces with such a self-confidence I've never had before.
I've hardly ever met such an upright and motivated person as M° Mallardi. His lectures have contributed to my mental health as well.

Mr Guido Mallardi has given piano and composition lessons to my two children aged 11 and 16 from 9/2012 to 7/2013. Thanks to his expertise my children have grown musically. He has applied successfully the Brainarm method created by himself so that my sons have composed some pieces that have been very appreciated when played at the concerts.
He stood out for his professionality, honesty, availability and punctuality. As parents we are really satisfied.

Up to the age of 20 years old, I never studied nor touched
a musical instrument before, and I saw the piano only as a great dream never to be accomplished... But now... after only 3 years,
thanks to this method and to a teacher able to bring out what you really are and all the music that you have within and that you didn't know you had because you never had a chance to realise, I can honestly say to have played pieces that have set great achievements.

The Brainarm method gives sound to the incessant rhythm of everyone's life.
