About Patrick
Patrick is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and music producer. He gained first-class undergraduate and master's degrees in Composition from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he also taught as a junior fellow. He has been teaching Guitar, Bass Guitar, Music Theory and Composition to a wide range of students for several years alongside his work as a musician. As well as composition qualifications, Patrick has achieved grade 8 (Distinction) in Guitar and grade 7 (Distinction) in Piano. He has performed extensively as a professional solo classical guitarist and has been the recipient of awards in several nationwide competitions. Patrick has also played in award-winning bands as an ensemble jazz and rock/pop guitarist and bass guitarist. His award-winning compositions receive professional, public performances and he curates, writes for and performs in his own concert series and ensemble. His music productions enjoy regular releases on esteemed labels and have been played on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra, and at music festivals around the world.

Patrick is an experienced music tutor with a master's and undergraduate degree in Music from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he also taught and lectured as a Junior Fellow. Patrick's teaching philosophy centres on creating an engaging, relaxed, and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and development. He believes in tailoring instruction to the unique needs and aspirations of each student, nurturing their talents while providing them with the technical tools necessary for achieving their goals. Although specialising in classical music, Patrick is well educated and practised in Jazz, Soul, Pop, Folk, Rock, Metal. Patrick’s wide-ranging experience and knowledge can take your musicianship to the next level, whatever your current stage and interests may be. He hopes to make his lessons educational, inspiring, and most of all, enjoyable. Subjects taught: Patrick teaches Guitar and Bass to anyone from beginner to advanced level. His lessons can be tailored to suit your needs: whether it is learning songs and chords; improvisation and soloing; or preparing you for ABRSM or Trinity Guildhall exams. Patrick has also teaches Music Theory and has taught complete beginners up to degree level. Music Theory can be daunting but Patrick hopes to simplify and clarify any gaps in knowledge. As a professional and conservatoire educated composer/producer, Patrick is able to teach music makers at beginner and advanced levels. His lessons will focus on developing your technical skills alongside your individual musical voice.
