About Carrie
Teens and working professionals often reach out to me when they want to explore the instrument. You will find that my approach to guitar is heavily shaped by my Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Music from AIM. I have spent 13 years teaching in Australia while maintaining a deep connection to the musical traditions I grew up with.
Flamenco and bolero are central to my identity as a musician and instructor. These styles form the foundation of how I explain complex guitar concepts to people from all walks of life. I enjoy working with intermediate learners who want to bridge the gap between simple chords and complex expression.

Fluid movement across the fretboard often begins with the simple click of a metronome. My lessons focus on blending technical skills like lead guitar and blues progressions with the soulful rhythms of my heritage.
I use my 13 years of experience to help grade exam candidates succeed while keeping the process enjoyable. You will learn to read tabs and write your own songs using the same cultural framework I have used for decades. The structure of our time together is rooted in the specific needs of absolute beginners and advanced players alike.
Because I hold a Bachelor of Music, I emphasize theory as a tool for personal expression rather than a set of rigid rules. I offer a free trial session to assess your starting level and discuss your goals. It would be my pleasure to help you find your unique voice on the guitar.
