About Zoe
My journey with the guitar began as a personal exploration of sound, rhythm, and emotional expression. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Guitar Performance and pursue specialized training in modern music pedagogy. Over 10 years of teaching, I have worked with students of different ages and abilities, helping them develop both technical control and creative confidence.
I believe guitar education should be encouraging, patient, and adaptable. Each student brings unique musical tastes, learning styles, and challenges, and I shape lessons to meet those individual needs. I prioritize long-term development, healthy technique, and genuine enjoyment of music.
Beyond teaching, I remain actively involved in music through performance practice, songwriting exploration, and continuous learning. Teaching guitar is deeply fulfilling because I witness students discover their musical identity and confidence. Supporting that discovery remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students develop solid technique while discovering their own expressive musical voice. I focus on posture, hand coordination, rhythm accuracy, tone shaping, and fretboard understanding so learners feel comfortable and confident. Lessons balance structure with creativity, allowing students to progress steadily while enjoying the learning process. I use relatable musical examples and storytelling to keep lessons engaging.
As students advance, lessons expand into chord voicings, scale systems, improvisation, solo phrasing, fingerstyle techniques, and expressive dynamics. I guide learners through effective practice routines, helping them understand how to improve independently. Repertoire is chosen carefully to match skill level and musical interests.
Guitar lessons also build creativity, confidence, and emotional expression. Many students gain courage performing or sharing music with others. My goal is to help learners feel expressive, capable, and proud of their musical growth.
