About Eric
Honestly, the first time you bring a guitar into my studio, I look for the habits that are currently hindering your progress. We move past basic tuning and maintenance to examine the mechanics of your hand positioning during difficult passages. My MMus training influences how I break down improvisation and soloing into manageable, logical steps for intermediate learners.
I utilise my 13 years of performance experience to demonstrate how power chords should sit within a wider mix. Clear.
We tackle grade exam requirements with a focus on accuracy and intentional movement. You will learn to treat your instrument with the same attention that I once gave to orchestral rehearsals. My approach emphasises steady development over quick fixes.

Because I enjoy the process of deconstructing complex patterns, I find myself drawn to coaching 214 students who need a clearer path forward. After 13 years spent performing with the Royal Philharmonic and various UK ensembles, I decided to pivot towards building a specific technical practice for hobbyists and advanced players. My MMus from King's College London and the Royal Academy of Music provides the academic foundation for my approach.
