About Lena

I am a guitar tutor with 9 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Contemporary Guitar Performance. My love for guitar comes from its versatility, from gentle acoustic storytelling to powerful lead expression. Teaching guitar allows me to guide students in building both technical confidence and emotional connection to music, helping them develop a voice that feels uniquely their own.

My teaching approach is supportive, structured, and deeply student-centered. I help learners strengthen fundamentals such as rhythm stability, chord fluency, finger control, and expressive phrasing. Many students come to guitar wanting to feel confident playing songs they love, and I enjoy guiding them step by step toward that goal. I believe the best progress happens when students feel encouraged, understood, and excited to practice.

Outside of teaching, I remain active in music through performance work, songwriting exploration, and continued study of modern guitar techniques. Watching students grow from hesitant beginners into confident players is deeply rewarding. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, inspired, and proud with your guitar. Together, we will build musical skill, expressive range, and a lifelong connection to music.

About the lesson

My guitar lessons are built around helping students develop both technical ability and personal expression through music. Guitar is an instrument that can feel instantly exciting, but true progress comes from learning how to control tone, rhythm, and musical storytelling. I create lessons that feel welcoming, motivating, and structured, so students can grow steadily while enjoying the process. Each session encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

In lessons, we explore chord transitions, strumming patterns, fingerstyle development, melodic phrasing, and rhythm accuracy. Beginners learn foundational chords, basic songs, and simple techniques that build comfort with the instrument. Intermediate students strengthen barre chords, lead guitar phrasing, improvisation basics, and expressive dynamics. Advanced learners work on tone shaping, solo development, performance confidence, and building a repertoire that reflects their musical goals. I also guide students in stage presence, musical timing, and developing the ability to play with emotional authenticity.

Guitar lessons offer more than musical skill—they build confidence, creativity, and resilience. My goal is to help students feel proud of what they can play and excited about their growth. Over time, learners develop stronger musical identity and expressive freedom. Each lesson becomes a space where technique and artistry grow together, making guitar a lifelong source of joy and self-expression.
