About Zara
I am a guitar tutor with 6 years of experience, holding a B.Mus in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Music Studies. My passion for guitar began with the excitement of turning simple chords into meaningful songs. Over the years, I have guided learners from first strums to confident playing, helping them grow in both technique and creativity.
My teaching approach is warm, structured, and motivating. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, ensuring progress feels enjoyable rather than overwhelming. I believe mistakes are a natural part of learning, and I encourage learners to explore their own musical voice while developing strong foundations.
Outside of teaching, I stay connected to guitar through performance projects, songwriting, and exploring diverse musical styles. Teaching guitar is fulfilling because I watch students gain confidence and joy through music. My goal is to help learners experience guitar as a lifelong source of creativity and expression.

Guitar becomes truly enjoyable when students feel they are creating music rather than only practicing exercises. In my lessons, I focus on building strong foundations in chord transitions, rhythm accuracy, finger technique, and musical expression. Students explore strumming styles, picking patterns, simple improvisation, and song-building skills in a supportive environment. I encourage learners to enjoy progress step by step while developing confidence at the instrument.
Lessons are shaped to each level. Beginners learn basic chords, posture, rhythm patterns, and simple songs that build motivation. Intermediate learners strengthen barre chords, lead playing, musical timing, and stylistic versatility across genres. Advanced students refine performance preparation, improvisation confidence, advanced techniques, and creative songwriting skills.
Each session includes hands-on practice, clear feedback, and structured improvement. Guitar lessons build more than musical ability. Students develop focus, creativity, patience, and emotional expression through music. My goal is to help learners feel empowered with the guitar, enjoying both skill growth and artistic freedom.
